Black Sabbath - 4-26-70 Peel Session [FLAC]

John Peel was a DJ who had a show on BBC for decades. He brought hundreds of early career artists, a huge number of which later became famous, into the studio to record off-the-cuff versions of four of their songs for exclusive play on his radio show. Eventually, a label called Strange Fruit formed and released a great number of his "Peel Sessions" unofficially.

Though this one wasn't released (other than bootlegged of course), this is Black Sabbath's from April of 1970, two and a half months after the release of their self-titled debut album. Most notably, it features "Walpurgis", which is "War Pigs" with its original lyrics and themes (in case you ever wondered by they rhyme "masses" with "masses" on the LP, they were forced to tone them down from this version).

These tracks were full of clicks and pops, so I've done my best to remove them. No filtering, just picking them out one by one and de-clicking them. Pain in the ass, but I think it was worth it; hopefully you'll agree.

I'll be seeding this around the clock, so please let me know if it's not accessible for some reason. Cheers

These Peel Sessions, without the clicks & pops, is on the Ozzy compilation The Ozzman Cometh 2 cd set, from 1997,
well worth having, in this original form, or the cleaned up masters from the "Ozzy's Basement tapes"...
